Zach Reitano was the only one in his cohort of a dozen summer interns at Booz & Co. a decade ago who didn’t get a full-time job. The failure set him up to lead a $7 billion healthcare company.
It was the first of several pivots that led Reitano to found Ro, formerly Roman, a digital clinic that combines a doctor’s office, pharmacy and laboratories to treat sexual health, weight loss, fertility and other health problems remotely.
Along the way, he hawked burritos from his apartment window, gave up his dream of a startup so that he could help his sick sister and spoke publicly about his erectile dysfunction.
