Jefferies Financial Group Inc has hired two former Credit Suisse bankers for its private credit business in Asia as it looks to expand into the fast-growing asset class, according to people familiar with the matter.
Yik Ley Chan joined the firm as senior vice president and head of Asia private credit while Javier Lee came on board as vice president, said the people, who asked not to be named because the matter is private. Chan will work with potential private credit borrowers and lenders, and will also market deals to investors.
