Tom Brady has joined the growing ranks of US sports stars and celebrities investing in English football after taking a minority stake in second tier side Birmingham City.
Brady, who retired from playing this year, is the most successful quarterback in NFL history, having won the Super Bowl seven times with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
His involvement at Birmingham City comes three weeks since US hedge fund Knighthead Capital Management took day-to-day control after buying a 46 per cent share of the club and making a full purchase of its 29,000-seater stadium.
