NRG Energy NRG is replacing its chief executive and adding new members to the board, after a push for new leadership by activist investor Elliott Investment Management.
The power company said Monday that Mauricio Gutierrez has stepped down as CEO and resigned from the board. Chairman Lawrence Coben will take over as interim president and chief executive while the board searches for a permanent successor.
